COFFIN GRILLED CHEESE

I N G R E D I E N T S

  • 8 slices hearty white or sourdough bread

    6 oz McCall’s Porter Cheddar, sliced or shredded

    2 tbsp butter, softened

I N S T RU C T I O N S

  1. Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each slice. Place four slices butter-side down on a cutting board.

  2. Layer McCall’s Porter Cheddar evenly over each slice, then top with the remaining bread (butter-side up).

  3. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Cook each sandwich for 2–3 minutes per side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

  4. Use a sharp knife or coffin-shaped cutter to trim each sandwich into a coffin shape.

  5. Arrange on a platter and serve immediately.
